I’m Xueci, a food writer and recipe developer based in Berlin. I was born and raised in Sichuan before moving to Germany in my early 20s, where I started to learn to cook Chinese food and rediscovered a food culture that’s so vast and diverse. After working as a food editor in Berlin, I started Chill Crisp, sharing content about Sichuan and other regional Chinese food, or any food and ingredient I’m passionate about.
You might know me from social media videos. Here I write longer-form articles, providing more details on the history, personal stories, and context of a dish; or share knowledge about a certain ingredient and write about food travels.
